Bogotá, July 2024. Until today, July 12, the leading event for dental health professionals, Odontotech, is taking place at Corferias.

One of the participating exhibitors is Dentalink, this brand brings with it the technological solution that bets on the digital transformation of the dental sector, in the management of billing, medical history, and the entire experience of the health service with its patients, is present with the objective of continuing to increase the digitalization of the country's dentists.  

During the fair, dentists and industry players will be able to learn first-hand at the 796D stand about the advances and innovations that the application is developing for the progress of clinics, in terms of credits, such as the financing of treatments for patients in conjunction with Bancolombia, compliance with regulations and standards with the (RIPS) and electronic billing, among others.

Recently, Healthatom, the company behind Dentalink, was recognized as the “Best Company with a Digital Ecosystem in Health 360” in the 11th edition of the Latam Digital Awards 2024 by Interlat. This prestigious award highlights its innovation and leadership in the digital transformation of the health sector in Latin America.

In Colombia, some 3,000 Colombian dentists support their health management, processing information on more than 10 million scheduled patients per year in the cloud.

The challenge of digitalization of the dental sector in the country

According to official data from the platform, in Colombia there are more than 50 thousand dentists who, in addition to working as health professionals, are clinic administrators, which makes their work more complex.  

Likewise, the figures reveal that between 60% and 70% of the country's dental clinics do not manage their services well, with possible causes including not having the technological tools to manage administration and clinical work, lack of training of dentists, and lack of budget, among others.

In this field, it becomes an effective ally for managing the operation of clinics and offices, direct relationships with patients and the analysis of financial information, among others; functions that make the management of these clinics a challenge for dentists and make it imperative to implement solutions for this sector.
